NA For Change watches the events unfolding in cities across America and shares the frustration and anger of those that mourn the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and other tragic and preventable losses of life. The issue of systemic racism has plagued our nation since its founding, and only through honest and open self-reckonings may we begin to change the American narrative to include justice, equity, and inclusion of all walks of life, no matter race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or physical ability.
After receiving an incredible amount of enthusiasm from students, alumni, and community members at North Allegheny, NA For Change deemed it appropriate to release a video formally staking out a stance and a message on what we can all do to begin to heal and overcome. The Classes of 2014 to 2024 are represented in this video: a reminder that this issue is multi-generational and urgent to all members of the community, not just those most affected.
