In support of ongoing action calling for racial justice, students and alumni of North Allegheny are hosting a virtual concert on Sunday, July 12 at 8pm EST. The concert will be held on Zoom and live-streamed over Facebook. We aim to not only raise money for worthy initiatives including- Pittsburgh Promise, Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, SisTers Pittsburgh, and 1Hood– but to bring the community together under a renewed hope and call to action for racial justice.
This concert will feature current students and alumni of the North Allegheny community. Performers will comprise of: Quinn Volpe, Sarah Fair, Jenny Zhu, Tejal Dahake, 7 Degrees Brass Band, Members of Bollywood Dance Club, Sophie Leslie, Ben Chamis and Rohan Puri, Hannah Oldham, Grif in Matthews, Liz Berlin, Medha and Chikoo Sharma, and Faith Nguyen.
They hope to spread the message of love, support, justice, and equality by sharing this event, attending the concert, and donations. Their goal is to raise $10,000. Proponents can support by donating here or through Venmo @NASH-MSU-1.
